Madame Alexander Dolls Bind Generations
Nearly a century ago, Madame Alexander Dolls were originally created for play, they have become cherished collectibles that represent some of our most precious memories. They have an ageless appeal to the young and old alike that simply cannot be easily defined or imitated.
Madame Alexander Dolls Personify Literature Characters
For decades, Madame Alexander dolls have been designed to replicate the characters in our favorite literature works. They bring those characters right off the pages of those books and place them into our hands.
My own first Madame Alexander Doll was from the Little Women collection. She is one of my most treasured keepsakes from my childhood. Today, she “decorates” my den. With one casual glance, she beckons me back to a simpler time in my life and the sweet kiss of innocent beauty.
Most of the time, we read a book and fall in love with a character. In my case, I was given the Madame Alexander doll before I read the book. Little Women was one of my mother’s favorite books. As with most young children, my mother selected my first dolls. That meaningful connection to my mother, makes my Madame Alexander Doll all the more valuable to me.
Madame Alexander Dolls Today
Madame Alexander Dolls are still exquisitely designed. They possess such grace and beauty, they are almost magically appealing. While there is a whole collection of Madame Alexander play dolls, there are certainly just as many that will appeal to the collector.
There are so many designs to choose from today that it is often difficult to select just one. Each doll appeals for different reasons.

My granddaughter just got her first Madame Alexander doll. She has been so delighted and cares for her so nothing messes her up. They are great dolls that have been around for generations.

The doll on the leading picture with the yellow dress was the exact one my sister had when we were kids. I lost it:( I’ve been looking for one to replace it for years!! Does anyone know where I can buy one? Thank you!

Nancy, you can find them on Ebay ever so often. I checked just now and found several that range in price, cleanliness & condition. That particular doll is Amy from the Little Women Collection circa 1970. Here is a link to the one that I felt was in the best condition that is available now on Ebay, which really is the best source for vintage items.
